On Auguet 21, 2012, after 6 months of manufacturing, installation and commissioning, the first shield machine manufactured by Rongan Power and China Railway Tunneling Equipment Company ( hereafter referred to as CRTEC) successfully rolls off the production line in structure workshop of Rongan Power, which fills the blank of Anhui provincial heavy equipments manufacturing industry, at the meantime, lays a solid foundation for Rongan Power to open up a new situation of diversified operation.

Zhang Tianpei, deputy director of Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission; member of standing committee of CPC Hefei committee and deputy mayor Mr. Zhou Shanwu, secretary-general of Hefei municipal CPPCC Mr.Hua Ai and other related provincial and municipal leaders, administritive staff of CRTEC and Rongan Power, construction personnels of the first shield machine and new medias attended the rolling-off ceremony.

The ceremony formally began at 10:28 am with technicians of CRTEC firstly making an introduction on situation of the shield machine installation and commissioning to the coming guests. President of Rongan Power Mr. Zou Zhiming and vice president of CRTEC Mr. Fang Xinqiang respectively addressed the ceremony on behalf of both cooperation parties. They all expressed that the cooperation helped to build a powerful alliance and realize mutual complementarity of advantages. Through co-production, the both parties furtherly deepened mutual understanding and Rongan power became more experienced in shield machine production, which helps them to provide the highest quality shield equipments for hefei’s metro construction in progress.

The structure workshop of Rongan Power has advanced equipments and wide space, can fully satisfies all conditions of manufacturing shield machines. The 12.5M vertical lathe is specially purchased for shield machine production, meantimely, there are 8 sets of hoisting equipment including 200T and 100T travelling cranes, capable of manufacturing shield machine with maximum diameter in China, and can carry out trial run of six to nine sets of shield machine simultaneously.

Member of standing committee of CPC Hefei committee and deputy mayor Zhou Shanwu congratulated for the shield machine’s successfully rolling off the production line and he expressed that, the production of the shield machine in Rongan Power fills the blank of manufacturing shield products in Anhui province, hoping that the both parties continue to strengthen cooperation, togetherly to open up a new situation for research &development and production of China shield machines, making new contribution for industrial economic developments of Hefei city and Anhui province.

The first shield machine in Anhui province manufactured by Rongan power is a type of composite electric drive earth pressure balanced shield, digging diameter 6280mm, including main machine, one frame bridge and six trailers, with total length of 80m, total weight of 500 tons, unit maximum weight 110 tons, unit maximum size 6280mm×2800mm.

Shield machine with the full name of shield tunneling machine is a kind of hi-tech tunnel construction equipment interates mutiple techniques such as optical, electrical, hydraulic, sensing and information, can be used in excavation, transportation, supporting, lining and etc..The machine exhibits high automation, economize on manpower, high speed of contruction, one-time tunneling, weather proof, effectively controlled convexity and depression of the ground,reduction impact on above ground buildings or above water transportation while in construction.
