On May 26, 2011, during the Norway maritime exhibition, Luan Xiaoming, executive director and chief operating officer of China Rongsheng Heavy Industries Group Holdings Limited (Group) received an interview with The International Shipping Net in Oslo, capital of Norway.

It is known that, Luan arrived in Norway after his successful visit to Greece, where Rongsheng signed a group of contracts and cooperation intention letters with total contract price of 0.6 billion US Dollar mainly includes 14 panamax bulk carriers and 6600TEU containers. The delivery time is expected to be between year 2013 and 2014.

Luan told that, shipbuilding capacity increased greatly in 2011 than in 2010, and the overseas orders holds a large proportion among current hand-held oders. He specially pointed out that, they are delighted to see shipbuilding in China exceed that in Korea, and the advantageous position is supposed to be kept on.

Mentioning the field of marine power, Luan introduced, Rongan Power of the Group could build advanced low speed diesel engines at present, at the mean time, Rongsheng was discussing with MAN about their cooperation in medium-speed diesel engines, what’s more, they brought Quanchai Engines Co., Ltd. a short period of time ago. Now the Group is able to manufacture low-speed, medium-speed and high-speed diesel engines, which will furtherly optimize the shipbuilding process, short cycle time and highten the efficiency.
